We are looking for a lecturer in conservation with specialisation in traditional building crafts

We are looking for a craftsperson experienced in traditional construction methods for a position as a lecturer on the basis of occupational proficiency.

You will primarily be responsible for instructing and tutoring students in the undergraduate program in Building Crafts in Mariestad. The coursework covers traditional building crafts, including in particular building carpentry and wood-framed construction methods such as log construction and timber framing. Responsibilities include teaching project management and building construction, as well as legislation and contracts in the construction industry.

Responsibilities may also include instruction in ecologically sustainable construction projects.

To be eligible for a position as a lecturer a person must demonstrate both pedagogical proficiency and have completed a university education at the least advanced level or have equivalent competences or some other skill which is of significance in relation to the appointment’s subject area and the duties of the employment.

Ability to teach in English or Swedish is a requirement.
